Attestation Records

We hold around a fifth of the attestation records for the KSLI (Kings Shropshire Light Infantry) between 1910 and 1929 in a searchable database. The ‘all fields’ search uses a ‘sounds like’ approach, so you will often find the list is longer than expected, but will recognise similar spelled names. You can use the advanced search to perform a narrower search on family names and places.

We are in the process of transcribing the remaining records (C 15000) so please register as a virtual volunteer if you would like to help.

We have the paper records of these attestations but they are listed by service number, so unless you have this, we cannot search for a soldier by name alone.

Please help us improve the record. If you find records you can add detail to, please consider becoming a virtual volunteer.

We found 1 person records.
